About this experience
There's nothing like tasting fresh, warm halloumi straight out of the pot and on this small group tour there'll be plenty to enjoy throughout the day! You'll be picked up from a Limassol location of your choice and driven into the Troodos mountain countryside to the cheese-making workshop of a village local. You’ll take part in the process from start to finish and the experience will end with a delicious brunch which will include the cheeses made plus lots more.
The activities don't end there as you'll be taken further into the mountain villages to visit other local producers and the quaint village of Lefkara or Omodos (village visited will depend on our route on your specific tour date). A day full of fun & flavour is guaranteed!

What To Bring
- We generally recommend you have a good breakfast before pickup if you're joining our wine tours. We recommend a *light* breakfast for participants joining our Village Venture Rural Food Tour.
- We advise wearing comfortable shoes.
- If you've booked between October - May then we advise that you bring an extra layer if possible as the mountain weather can be quite cold between these months.
- If you plan to purchase any traditional products, wine or souvenirs during the trip - please bring along some cash as some of the hosts / village shops may not have card payment machines.
- Bottled water is available throughout the tour and provided by your guide. However, if you have your own reusable water bottle then it would be great to bring this along as we're not fans of plastic waste! If you do need water - feel free to ask the guide at any time for a bottle.

- Please note that the start time for this tour is approximate and your exact pick-up time will vary depending on which town and accommodation you are being collected from. You'll be contacted on the afternoon before your tour to confirm your exact pick-up time. As our messages may find themselves in your junk folder or we may have incorrect contact info - if you don't hear from us by 20:00 on the day before your tour then please contact us: contact@cyprustastetours.com
- The timings stated for this tour are approximate and should be considered flexible. Exact timings will depend on the pick-up locations and final number of participants. If you need to be returned to your drop-off point at a certain time - please let us know well in advance.
- Transportation is not charged for this experience and is offered free of charge with your culinary activity. The fee paid to Cyprus Taste Tours is strictly charged for hosting and culinary activity services. There is no discount applied if you wish to join with your own driver/vehicle.
- We offer door-to-door transport from almost any Limassol location including hotels, airbnbs, private accommodation, landmarks etc. We can also offer drop-off at Larnaca airport if this makes your participation more convenient.
- PLEASE NOTE: The Troodos mountain range spans Larnaca, Limassol, Paphos and Nicosia and it is in the mountainous areas of these districts that you find the rural villages of Cyprus. This tour DOES NOT visit Troodos Square specifically and will only visit various villages within the Troodos mountain region.
- We keep our tours authentic by visiting true locals and because these local villagers are busy with every day life – we cannot guarantee which stops we’ll be visiting after the cheese-making workshop... However, here’s an example list of products - honey / traditional sweets / wine / donkey milk products / carob honey.
